Music

音楽と数学, 特にトポロジーとの関連も色々発見されるようになってきた。

まず, persistent homology を使ったものとしては, Budney と Sethares の [SB14] や Bergomi らの [BP; BBD16] などがある。

Budney らの論文が出版されているのは Journal of Mathematical Music という雑誌であるが, そこには, Tymoczko による “Why Topology?” という 論文 [Tym20] もある。

最近の状況については, Alcalá-Alvarez と Padilla-Longoria の [AP] の Introduction に挙げられている文献を見るとよい。 彼等は topological music analysis (TMA) という言葉を使っている。

トポロジーとは言えないが, category theory や operad を使ったものとしては, Mannone の [Man18] や Giraudo の [Gira; Girb] などがある。 ただ, Mannone は [Man] で braid や knot との関係を指摘している。
